The church in my view needs to step into a John The Baptist season, where what it has known or feels it has achieved as church, finds a willingness to decrease because of what is coming.

Good to see you back blogging Gaz. I'm with you 100% in what you say about church and the unchurched etc. I like the thought about being like John the Baptist - I must decrease. God is doing this in so many people who had always before considered themselves to be 'pillars of the church'. Halleluiah!!!
