A Prophetic Teacher once said, "If you dont go away from this with something of worth which you want to outwork into your life, or you hear what i am saying and there is no beneficial life application - Its Not Teaching". GAZ.DRUM@NTLWORLD.COM - LETS TALK This blog is dedicated to truths or views which lend themselves to LIFE APPLICATION when the walls of church are no longer there to '''KEEP US SAFE AND SEPARATE TILL HEAVEN'''.

MORE ON JOHHNY B SYNDROME

As i was saying - a john the baptist mentality. I think good fella Martin Scott embodies it well in this reference to present and past generations of the body, in respect of the present and rising younger generation: "MAKE OUR CIELING... YOUR FLOOR". We need somewhere te be embodying a spirit of willingness to see others take this thing called kingdom..further. Its important to state to state firmly to all generations - 'dont you bloody well dare give up', this is not a handover - we are not looking for a decapitation, thats not where the analogy goes in my opinion, we are lookign to partner into the future together, perhaps in ways that will frighten us very much. Oh.... On Decapitation ...... Jesus is the Head, He Will Build The Church - so all other heads MUST roll if they have gotten int he way of this. One prophetic lass said regards a recent moon eclipse of the sun, that it was rather like the Church (in dysfucntion and wrong emphasis) having eclipsed the Son.
We are in need of embracing Gods death, where something stinks and needs it, but also where somethings actually work, thats part of the key issue here, we are used to either seeing somethign through to death, we are used to laying down something that looks like death is innevitable, but we are not good at PUTTING DO DEATH something that appears to be good and healthy, but needs Gods death................. Cause this leads to a resurrection life. So HEY CHURCH - get your molars aroudn that fatboy and chew............ Some of what you think is good and works needs to die, needs to decrease lest it become in the way of What God Is Trying To Do in these days, and indeed risks eclipsing the Son. (thanks bruce mounsey ywam kiwi for those death reference points delivered brutally in one of my old church setttings - god bless you you ginger fella)

CUMMON, yeah, lets eat that one, lets put it on a spit and roast it in our heads, FATHER GOD - HAVE WE SOMETHING THAT APPEARS ALIVE BUT NEEDS TO BE PUT TO DEATH LEST IT BE IN THE WAY - OH HEAVEN HELP US

Prepare the bride for the groom - build a highway constanlty so something Huge of God can land, build a path in the wastelands of our own making. So sorry God - forgive us, give us another chance and the older generation a second breath to push again.

I see that Martin Scott gets around.
He has imparted to us on several occassions here. Where's here? Humboldt County, Northern California.
Shepherd Michael here. Came across this blog via 24-7, which led me to Shannon B's website, which had a link to here.

I love the raw energy i see poured out here. i see a lot off conversation that resonates with what i and my pastor have been discussing. One of our concerns is this, and I would dearly love input from you all on it;
i'm not sure what term to use to describe it, but there is an apathetic attitude towards learning and studying the things of the Kingdom, at least in the traditional (oh i know how some hate that word) setting of Sunday School, home study groups and the like.
i see a hunger for God, but it seems most folks don't want to get up a little earlier for some Word crunchin' and chewin'. And we're just not talking about the basic stuff, but even studies on the prophetic, healing, gifts of the Spirit, etc. And while most get very enthusiastic about the above, still the attendance ofr Sunday School, home groups, etc. is pretty low. So, what is it? We endeavor to be relevent. We don't want to hang onto Sunday School and allthe rest just because that's the way it has always been done. I mean, we get out there on the streets and love on folks. And we try to involve every member of our fellowship. i'm having difficulty here in trying to relay what it is that's bugging me. I know part of it is that people are burnt out from "information overload". But how does one train, equip, and release without it becoming another class, another workshop, another meeting?

nice vance!
That ol nugget of 'let go and let god' comes to mind - its used to be a reference point for steppingout of self and into faith. I think there is relevance here regards church 'let go and let God build his church' Fatih for Church....has that been absent in the midst of the many books speakers and alledged models and bluprints that people have given us so we take on the building and perhaps as a result.... do uncommanded works and loose a aspect of necessary faith. Stepping out of what we know, into what we dont requires faith. Many many people season their 'understanding of church' these days with the comment " i know less about church than i ever did - and it feels good". or one sarcasm that ive managed not to use is "thank you for your concerns - but i feel far more happy and fulfilled in what i dont knwo about church than when i walked in what you think it is you do know about church!"

Void? i dont think god has that, not when any of us who have space right now have such a thing as a result of desiring MORE life in God, More life poured out and more reality to body life and relationships. Thats not a void - its divine space to let God meet expecations he placed in us long ago.
Someone (sarah adams) said " we should not be afraid of the space we find ourselves in - God will use it to restore the core of his creation plans - family - and body is at the heart if restoring his plans for us" God fills space - many are to busy filling it for God to find God.
